Your gifts create opportunities at the Linus Pauling Institute. This year you have helped us 

• offer fellowships to five deserving and outstanding graduate students 
• staff and equip the core laboratory of the Cancer Chemoprotection Program 
• renovate the laboratory of LPI Principal Investigator Dr. Tory Hagen 
• purchase a SX 18 MV-R Stopped Flow Reaction Analyzer and a Bio-Rad Protein Purification System 
• and hold our campus lecture series 

Your gifts help us train the very best students, conduct the highest level of science, and attract the most outstanding scientists to our staff. In turn, we send you this newsletter twice a year and three letters a year from our Director, Dr. Balz Frei. We keep our Micronutrient Information Center website current with the latest information, and we answer hundreds of letters, phone calls, and emails requesting information. 

At the OSU Foundation, we also provide professional assistance with estate planning tools of all kinds, including bequests, annuities and trusts. It is our pleasure and privilege to provide these services to you. In fact, many people are taking advantage of the very good annuity rates and arranging gifts now with the dual goal of providing personal lifetime income and a gift to the Linus Pauling Institute after their lifetime.
