Linus Pauling and the Twentieth Century: Quest for Humanity--New LocationThere is a travelling exhibition on Linus Pauling’s life and career, sponsored by the family of Linus Pauling, Soka Gakkai International, Oregon State University, and a number of other organizations. The concept of the exhibition originated in discussions beginning in 1987 between Daisaku Ikeda, President of the Buddhist lay organization Soka Gakkai International, and Linus Pauling. The display of text, photographs, and artifacts wonderfully conveys Linus Pauling's accomplishments and interests in chemistry, physics, biology, medicine, peace, and humanitarian concerns. The Exhibition is currently on display in Washington, DC. For more information, please call 301-779-4136 (website: www.paulingexhibit.org). Admission is free, and school children are encouraged to visit. Last updated November, 1999
