Fund-raising Potpourri

LPI Interim Director of Development

My tenure as interim Director of Development has come to an end. The last 9 months I’ve spent working with Dr. Balz Frei, his staff, and all the LPI supporters has been very enjoyable and educational. I recently attended the annual retreat at which all the LPI scientists presented up-to-date information on their cutting-edge research. I was very impressed with their dedication to solving today’s health problems and the passion they have for helping people. Great discoveries will continue to come from the Linus Pauling Institute!

These discoveries are made possible in large part by the thousands of loyal LPI supporters who make contributions each year. Thank you! I would like to leave you with a challenge. For those of you who are regular supporters, I challenge you to increase your giving to the institute by 15%. If you have never made a contribution to the institute, I ask you to support the LPI by making your first gift this year. If we can meet these goals, LPI will be able to fund more innovative research than ever before and will be able to continue to attract the best and brightest scientists. The result will be new breakthroughs that help you live healthier and longer.

The next fund-raising column will be contributed by our new Development Director, Scott Palmer, who began work on October 1. Please welcome him aboard!
