2017 Summer Internship description & application

The Healthy Youth Program provides internship opportunities for students throughout the school year and every summer. By completing an internship with the Healthy Youth Program, students will have the opportunity to:

  • Develop skills and experience teaching and facilitating youth and family programs in nutrition, cooking, and/or gardening
  • Gain hands-on experience working with a diverse population of children and families of all ages and backgrounds
  • Work with a fun and dedicated team of staff and volunteers in a collaborative environment
  • Attend community meetings and learn more about the work taking place in Benton and Linn counties

During the school year, the Healthy Youth Program can host one intern per term (180-360 hours). Fall, winter and spring term interns must volunteer for our program for at least one term before completing an internship with us. Each summer, the Healthy Youth Program offers full-time summer internships for approximately 5-7 students. Summer interns are not required to have previous volunteer experience with our program. Please contact Caitlyn Reilley with questions or to learn more about internships with the Healthy Youth Program:
