Master Chefs is designed for middle school students interested in exploring recipes from different parts of the world. In the last class of the session, students participate in a cooking competition with a judging panel.
What will your child learn at this class?
Youth participating in Master Chefs learn basic nutrition, cooking and kitchen safety skills. In addition, youth will develop knife skills and learn various cooking techniques. Youth are introduced to different flavors and spices used in meal preparation around the globe. Teamwork is a key component in this class, as students work together in small groups to prepare dishes for the final cooking competition!
When: Tuesdays, 4-6 PM
Where: Linus Pauling Middle School teaching kitchen, room 115
Cost: $74 for a 6-week session
