Vitamin B6 chemical structures

Non-phosphorylated forms of vitamin B6 include pyridoxine, pyridoxal, and pyridoxamine. While all three of these variants can be phosphorylated, the phosphate ester derivative of pyridoxal, pyridoxal 5'-phosphate (PLP), is the cofactor of most vitamin B6-dependent enzymes in the body.
