Not sure about the functions of the micronutrients included in your multivitamin supplement?

Unclear if you are getting adequate amounts of vitamins or essential minerals to meet your daily needs?

The Micronutrients for Health handout lists all the vitamins and nutritionally essential minerals and their functions, some common dietary sources, and the intake recommendations set by the Institute of Medicine. This is often referred to as the Recommended Dietary Allowance or RDA.

However, based on the scientific evidence reviewed on the Micronutrient Information Center, the recommendations by the Linus Pauling Institute can be different. These recommendations are noted when different from the RDA.

All recommendations are for adults 19 years and older and expressed in micrograms (μg), milligrams (mg), or International Units (IU).
